Body trim dechroming is a popular customisation that involves replacing or covering the chrome trim elements on a vehicle with a matte, gloss, or satin finish, often in black. This process enhances the vehicle’s aesthetic by creating a sleek, modern look, and can also protect the underlying chrome from environmental damage. Dechroming can be applied to various parts such as grilles, window trims, and door handles, offering a personalized and distinctive style to the car.

A boat vinyl wrap isn’t just about aesthetic appeal; it’s about protection. Our wraps protect your boat’s gel coat or original paint against UV rays, scratches, and other environmental conditions. These wraps not only keep your boat looking flawless but also maintain its resale value. You can keep your boat in great shape season after season with simple care and the ability to replace or remove the vinyl wrap without damaging the surface.

Does your boat’s gel coat look worn and discoloured? Are you seeking a fresh, vibrant look for next season? We’ve got you covered. Over time, the coloured portion of your Gelcoat on the hull can become discoloured and appear milky, which is quite noticeable. This discolouration is due to the effects of saltwater and sunlight exposure from being in the water. Polishing or buffing the hull may provide a temporary fix, but the issue can return within a month. So, why not consider a more long-lasting solution? We can wrap your boat from the waterline up, giving it a showroom-fresh appearance.

We use cutting-edge graphic design techniques and high-quality printing to provide endless design options to set you apart from the competition. With options like Gloss, Matte, and Pearlescent finishes, Auto Wrap Manchester lets you express your creativity, turning your boat into a showstopper.

Boat wraps, also known as marine vinyl wraps, offer an exceptional way to give your marine craft a new look. Boats, like vehicles, may also serve as moving billboards as they travel to and from the marina or compete in events where spectators and sponsors can see the boat’s wrap. We perform all vinyl installations above the static waterline anti-foul paint system. With a Gel Coat finish, our self-adhesive vinyl adheres to fibreglass surfaces and glass-reinforced plastics (GRP). These wraps are great for exterior and interior detailing, adding a visual punch to any boat. You can choose from vinyl stripes, stylish lettering, or textured accents to enhance the visual appeal of your boat. We’re here to help you customise the design of your marine craft, using only the highest-quality vinyl materials, such as Avery Vinyl Films and 3M.

It’s designed to inform clients about each step, maintaining a professional and informative tone:

Boat Wrap Installation Process

Step one

Measurement and Template Creation

Before we begin the transformation of your boat, our team undertakes a meticulous cleaning process. This step is crucial to ensure the highest quality application. We thoroughly clean the boat’s surface to remove all contaminants, including dirt, grime, and wax, focusing particularly on crevices and hard-to-reach areas. A spotless, dry surface is key for a successful wrap application.

Precision is our mantra. We measure your boat with utmost accuracy to determine the exact dimensions needed for the wrap. Utilising these measurements, we either create or select a fitting template that aligns perfectly with your boat’s unique structure.

Step TWO

Design and Printing

Your vision comes to life in this phase. Our design team collaborates with you to create captivating graphics tailored to your boat’s specifications. These designs are then brought to life on premium vinyl wrap material, ensuring both vibrancy and durability.

Pre-Installation Inspection

Quality control is paramount. We meticulously inspect the printed wrap for any imperfections, confirming that the colours and design align precisely with your expectations. This step guarantees that only the best material is applied to your boat.

Cutting and Preparing the Vinyl

With precision, we cut the vinyl wrap into sections manageable for application. These pieces are meticulously aligned, readying them for the transformation of your boat.

Application of the Wrap

This is where the magic happens. Our skilled technicians apply the wrap, starting from the stern and moving towards the bow, ensuring a seamless application. They employ specialised tools, such as squeegees and heat guns, to achieve a flawless finish that contours perfectly to your boat.

Step Six

Trimming and Finishing

Attention to detail is our commitment. After the wrap is applied, we trim any excess material and meticulously tuck the edges for a polished look. Final touches with a heat gun ensure a secure seal and eliminate any potential for air bubbles.

Step Seven

Post-Installation Inspection and Cleaning

Our team conducts a thorough inspection to ensure the wrap adheres perfectly to every curve and edge of your boat. A gentle cleaning follows, removing any installation residues and presenting you with a spotless, transformed vessel.

Step Eight

Client Review and Approval

Your satisfaction is our ultimate goal. We invite you to review our work, ensuring it meets your expectations. We also provide essential care and maintenance instructions to help you preserve the stunning new look of your boat.

Step Nine

Follow-Up and Maintenance

Our relationship with you continues beyond installation. We schedule follow-ups to ensure your wrap maintains its pristine condition and offer maintenance and repair services to address any future needs.

At Auto Wrap Manchester, we offer various boat wrap modes to meet your unique preferences and requirements. Here’s why you should choose us!

Experience a stunning transformation with our complete boat wrap that covers the entirety of the boat from the waterline upwards. This mode covers your boat’s exterior using high-quality marine-grade vinyl. Choose from a wide range of solid colours or bright graphics to create a distinctive look. Not only does it enhance aesthetics, but it also protects your boat from UV rays and environmental elements.

If you’re looking for a cost-effective way to customise your boat, our partial wrap is the ideal choice. Apply vinyl graphics or designs to specific sections of your boat, like on the port or starboard sides. This option allows for branding and customisation without covering the entire boat.

Boat Names, Lines & Stripes

We can install boat names, logos, or branding elements. These customised decals or graphics are strategically placed on your boat. They provide a versatile solution to add a personal touch or promote your business while preserving the boat’s original colour.

For a truly unique experience, consider an interior wrap. This less common option allows you to create a cohesive visual appearance inside your boat. Transform the cabin, walls, or even furniture using vinyl wraps to match your desired style. We use 3M DI-NOC textured technical and architectural films to transform the interior of your yacht completely. It complements the exterior design, creating a harmonious look throughout the vessel.

Prices can vary depending on the vessel size, colour, and design, typically prices start from £250 for a small logo wrap to thousands for larger wraps on huge boats.

The time required depends on factors such as the boat’s size, design complexity, the number of surfaces to be wrapped, and the team size handling the vinyl installation. Smaller boats may take a day or two, while larger vessels could require several days or even a couple of weeks for complete wrapping.

While boat wraps protect against saltwater, no material is immune to wear and tear. We recommend professional marine-grade vinyl wrapping for boats primarily used in saltwater. At Auto Wrap Manchester, we use colour-protected vinyl designed to maintain its fresh appearance for many years. Additionally, we can provide and install stripes or other detailing for most boats.

The panel is always replaceable but if it is a small amount of damage there is the potential to patch in a repair. In order to reduce the chance of damage we can install an extra PPF strip on the front end of the boat in order to prevent damage being caused by the boat/jetski rubbing while on a trailer.
