FREE Halo 2 Year Ceramic Coat with every Full PPF package worth £750
An ice cream van wrap is printed, laminated vinyl fitted over the bodywork to carry your name, menu, colours and artwork on every panel. Here at Auto Wrap Manchester we design, print and install ice cream truck wraps and graphics in-house at our Trafford Park unit, for vehicles trading across Manchester, Cheshire and the North West.
Ice cream sells on sight. Kids spot the vehicle at the end of the road, parents decide in seconds, and a plain white Transit with a couple of stickers loses out to the one that looks like it’s been trading for years.
Full graphics do three jobs at once. They put your brand on every side, so people remember your business rather than “the ice cream man”. They carry a menu, prices and a booking number on the serving side, so the vehicle keeps advertising while it’s parked. And they cover the paint, which on an older Ford or a converted vehicle hides a lot of sins and protects what’s underneath.
Vinyl is reversible too. Sell the vehicle or rebrand and the graphics come off with the original colour intact.
Every vehicle is quoted individually, so we don’t publish a price list. The biggest factor is coverage:
From there, the price depends on the size of the vehicle, whether the hatch surround and roof are included, the material chosen and how much design work you need. Print-ready artwork keeps design time low. A livery drawn from scratch is quoted as part of the job.
We offer 0% finance over 3, 6 or 12 months with a low deposit, which suits a seasonal business that wants the truck ready for spring without paying for it all in February.
The design is where these jobs go right or wrong. What we’ve learned fitting food and trade vehicles since 2014:
Your name, what you sell in three words, one great food photo and the menu, all read while queuing.
Logo, one-line offer, phone number and social handle, big enough to read from the car behind.
Permanent brand on the vehicle, prices on a separate panel or chalkboard, so changes need no new wrap.
Weddings, corporate lunches and festivals are booked by people who saw the unit out working.
We print on high-quality cast vinyl from 3M, Avery Dennison, KPMF and Hexis and laminate every panel. The laminate is what stops the colour fading when it’s parked in full sun all summer, and it’s what lets you wash off sticky handprints without lifting anything.
With proper care, a laminated full wrap lasts 5 to 7 years or more. Every job includes a 12-month workmanship warranty, and full wraps can be extended to up to 3 years through our Bronze, Silver and Gold warranty packages. Our aftercare guide covers washing and what to avoid.
Tell us your first event date when you get in touch and we’ll plan the slot around it. Spring is our busiest time for these jobs, so book early.
Send the make and model, a photo of each side and any artwork. We come back with a price and a lead time.
Livery designed in-house or checked from your print-ready files. You sign off a flat proof of every side.
Printed on premium cast vinyl and laminated for outdoor life, all at the Trafford Park unit.
It arrives clean, we prep the panels, fit, inspect and hand back. Full coverage typically takes 2 to 5 days.
For coffee, burger and street food units see our catering van wraps page, and for plain lettering or trade fleets see van signage and commercial vehicle wrapping. For festival pitches, promo tours and sampling campaigns, see event vehicle branding.
Design, print and installation all happen in-house at our Trafford Park unit, the same way we have worked since 2014.
Design, print and installation under one roof at Trafford Park, with no handover between suppliers.
More than a decade of wraps, signage and PPF for private and commercial customers across the North West.
We print on cast vinyl from 3M, Avery Dennison, KPMF and Hexis, laminated for outdoor life.
A 12-month workmanship warranty as standard, extendable to up to 3 years on full wraps.
Spread the cost over 3, 6 or 12 months with a low deposit through our finance option.
Every vehicle is quoted individually. Coverage sets the bracket (lettering costs the least, a full wrap the most), then size, material and design work move the figure. Send the model and a photo of each side and we’ll come back with a firm price.
It’s a one-off cost that advertises the business every day it’s out for 5 years or more. Set against a season’s pitch fees or a single event booking, most operators find it pays for itself quickly, and it protects the paint on a vehicle you’ll one day sell.
The graphics have no specific legal rules, but trading does. Street trading needs a licence or consent from the local council, the business must be registered as a food business, and chimes are covered by the government’s code of practice on ice cream van chimes. If full coverage changes the main colour, update the V5C with DVLA.
Yes. Menu, prices, logo, phone number, social handles and a card payment note all go on the serving side, laid out so it reads at a glance.
Five to seven years or more with laminated cast vinyl and proper care. Chrome and special effect films last less, but they’re rarely used on food vehicles.
Yes. The vinyl takes the sun, the scuffs and the sticky fingers instead of the paint, and it peels off cleanly when you want the original colour back.
Send us the model, a photo of each side and any artwork, and we’ll price it up.
