Event Vehicle Branding, Wraps and Graphics in Manchester

Event vehicle branding is a printed vinyl wrap or set of graphics applied to a car, van, truck or trailer for a launch, roadshow, exhibition, sponsorship or promotional tour, then removed cleanly afterwards. Here at Auto Wrap Manchester we design, print and fit event wraps in-house at our Trafford Park unit, for single vehicles and full promotional fleets across the North West.

What you can use event graphics for

Any time a vehicle needs to carry a message for a fixed period rather than for its whole life. Typical jobs:

We’ve done dealer-group livery for Stratstone on an Iveco and fleet graphics for trade businesses across Greater Manchester, so a vehicle that has to look right in front of the public is familiar ground.

Launches and roadshows

A branded van or truck tours retail parks, city centres and trade shows for a few weeks, then goes back to plain.

Exhibitions and dealer events

A branded vehicle on the stand, outside the hall or at an open weekend, matched to the campaign graphics.

Sponsorship and partner vehicles

Cars and vans carrying a festival, sports event or charity campaign for the season.

Hire and rental fleets

Short-term graphics on hire vehicles that have to go back in their original colour.

Film, TV and photoshoots

Livery applied and removed on a schedule, ready for the day the vehicle is needed on camera.

Full wraps, partial wraps, decals and window graphics

For a job that’s on the road for a few weeks we usually recommend partial vinyl wraps or lettering: the same brand visibility where it counts, less material, quicker to fit and quicker to strip. That’s the cost-effective route for most marketing campaigns, and it turns a plain fleet of vans into a mobile billboard for the length of the tour. For a season-long sponsorship or the centrepiece of a launch, a full vehicle wrap is the right call. Our guide to wrap colours and finishes covers gloss, matte, satin and special effect films.

How much does an event wrap cost?

Every campaign is quoted individually, so we don’t publish a price list. What moves the number: vehicle size, coverage, the material chosen, whether our design team is producing the livery or working from your agency’s print-ready files, how many vehicles carry the same design, and whether removal is booked at the same time. Fleet pricing comes down as the numbers go up. Our UK vehicle signage cost guide has more detail.

Short-term jobs use the same high-quality 3M, Avery Dennison, KPMF and Hexis films as a permanent commercial vehicle livery. Cheaper short-life films exist, but they cost more to remove than they save and they don’t look as good on the day. On value for money, proper cast vinyl wins.

Built for agencies and event teams

Most event jobs come to us through a marketing agency, an event production company or an in-house brand team, and they arrive with deadlines that don’t move. What we need from you:

Vehicle details

Make, model and year for each one, plus a photo of each side if it isn't standard.

Artwork

Print-ready files with bleed, or brand identity assets and a brief if we're designing. We'll supply a template for your designer on request.

Dates

When the vehicle can come in, when it needs to be on the road, and when it needs to be back to plain.

Sign-off

One named person who approves the flat proof. Multi-vehicle jobs stall on approvals more than on fitting.

Fitted properly and removed cleanly

The vehicle arrives clean. We prep and inspect the panels, note any existing paint damage, fit the graphics, inspect them and hand back. Full coverage on a van typically takes 2 to 5 days in the unit; lettering and partial coverage are quicker.

When the event’s over, the vinyl comes off with heat and the original paint is underneath. That’s why hire companies and lease providers accept quality vinyl graphics: the vehicle goes back exactly as it came. If the main colour changed, update the V5C with DVLA for the period it’s on, and again when it comes off.

Every job includes a 12-month workmanship warranty, and full wraps can be extended to up to 3 years through our warranty packages, which matters on a sponsorship vehicle that’s out for a full season.

One design across the whole fleet

A roadshow with five vans, a dealer open weekend with a dozen demonstrators, a festival with a mixed fleet of vehicles including a truck. The design has to look the same across every size, and every vehicle has to be back on the road, or on the motorway to the next venue, at the same time.

Our fleet signage service adapts one design across models to maximise the impact of the campaign, and a modular wrap lets a damaged panel be swapped mid-campaign without redoing a whole side. For larger vehicles see lorry signage and bus wrapping. Food and drink brands running a sampling tour should also look at our catering van wraps, and for soft serve and dessert units, ice cream van wraps.

Event vehicle branding FAQs

Every campaign is quoted individually. Coverage sets the bracket (decals cost the least, a full wrap the most), then vehicle size, the number of vehicles and whether removal is included move the figure. Send the vehicle list and dates for a firm price.

Yes. Quality cast vinyl is removed with heat and leaves the original paint intact. Book removal when you book the fit and we’ll hold the slot.

The same as any quality vinyl: 5 to 7 years or more with proper care. Graphics fitted for a two-week roadshow will still look new when they come off.

Usually, yes. Vinyl is reversible so the vehicle goes back in its original colour. Check the hire or lease agreement for any wording on graphics, and tell the provider before the fit.

Yes. We adapt one design across different vehicle sizes and schedule the fits so every vehicle is ready for the same date.

A full wrap covers every panel and can change the colour. A partial wrap puts printed graphics on chosen panels with the base colour showing elsewhere. Decals are cut or printed vinyl pieces (logo and contact details, URLs) applied straight to the paint. Impact and cost go up in that order; removal time comes down.
